Susan Shapiro Barash has published fourteen nonfiction titles and five novels. Her nonfiction includes Estranged: How Strained Female Friendships are Mended or Ended, Tripping the Prom Queen,You're Grounded Forever, but First Let's go Shopping and The Nine Phases of Marriage. Her fiction, published under her pen name, Susannah Marren, includes Palm Beach Confidential, A Palm Beach Wife, Maribelle's Shadow and Between the Tides. For more than twenty years, she taught gender studies in the Writing Department of Marymount Manhattan College and has guest taught creative nonfiction at the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College.
