As an essayist and feature writer, my byline appears in The New York Times (including the Modern Love column, which won a 2024 ASJA Honorable Mention), The Washington Post, The Boston Globe Magazine, Salon, The New York Daily News, Newsday, Ozy, Weekly Humorist, Narratively, Next Avenue, Next Tribe, The Manifest-Station, Purple Clover, and elsewhere. My nostalgic memoir-in-progress takes readers back to 1970s Rockaway, New York, when I was a teenage girl chasing an unlikely dream: to be a drummer in a rock-n-roll band. I also spent many years as an award-winning speechwriter, ghostwriter and custom content provider. A born-and-bred New Yorker who's lived in three of five boroughs, I'm happy to make my home in Manhattan.
