Enter your professional bio here : Rebekah Denn is a regular contributor to The Seattle Times and other publications, with clips including everything from investigative reporting to restaurant criticism (sometimes both at once.) She currently specializes in writing about food and books, but has covered everything from the death penalty to racially disproportionate discipline rates in public schools. She is editor of the Sound Consumer paper for PCC Community Markets, the nation's largest food co-op. She has received two James Beard awards, the Emery Brownell Award for Excellence in Reporting on Equal Justice Issues awarded by the National Legal Aid & Defender Association, the Thurgood Marshall Journalism Award from the Death Penalty Information Center, and the James Aronson Award for Social Justice, awarded by Hunter College. (Her less serious work includes hosting the Internet's most popular video on How To Carve a Watermelon Baby Carriage.) Denn also curated the 2017 ''Edible City'' exhibit at Seattle's Museum of History and Industry. She lives in Seattle with her omnivorous husband and three vegetarian children.
