Book Credits : Over Here, It's Different - an award-winning children's nonfiction book published by Macmillan and reviewed positively by the NY Times, Washington Post, and Kirkus Reviews. In words and photos (taken by the noted photogrpaher George Anconca), the book tells the story of Carolina Lonranzo, an immigrant child who moved from the Dominican Republic to New York City. Beauty Lab , a nonfiction children's book published by Silver Moon Press. as one in a series of books demonstrating for middle school readers ways in which science changed a certain aspect of society. It discussed how science has changed the ways in which human being care for their bodies, including their hair, skin, & teeth; the book followed related books by other authors, Sports Lab and Police Lab .

That task gave her a professional direction for life. She loves interviewing people, learning new things, and sharing what I learn through writing. Her work focuses on ways to improve the health of people and the planet to increase happiness and to extend prosperity. When she left Cambridge, subsequent moves and travels for work took her to New York, Washington DC, Sweden, and the Middle East. Every job she took helped her learn more about writing and brought new opportunities to cover different subjects in varied formats. Those jobs included serving as a public relations account executive for Rand Public Relations in NY.... as a Foreign Service Officer with the US Information Service, stationed in Washington, D.C. and abroad...as a senior editor at Boardroom Reports in NY....and as a senior editor in public affairs at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Speech writing is a specialty. Milly has written scores of speeches, including several for C-suite level executives. She also drafted remarks delivered by then Vice President George H.W. Bush during a visit he made to Sweden during her time in the U.S. Foreign Service. A Toastmaster for 21 years, her own speeches have won dozens of awards. Milly is an actively involved member of her community in Central Florida. She has worked hard as avolunteer with nonprofit organizations that support children, homeless people, and veterans. She was recently appointed by the Mayor of Orange County, Jerry Demings, to a seat on the County Commission for Children.

Milly has also garnered public speaking and speechwriting awards and recognition : Milly has been an active member of Toastmasters International for 21 years. An Advanced Toastmaster at the Bronze level, she regularly participates and wins at Toastmasters speech contests, both at the club level and above. Milly achieved educational distinctions as well. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and as a Wllesley College Scholar from Wellesley College.
