As a freelance science writer, I share the latest scientific breakthroughs with the public by turning complex concepts into engaging stories. I earned a Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University and specialize in covering discoveries in biology, medicine, chemistry, paleontology, and materials science.
I've been widely recognized for my writing and have won Gold Communicator of Excellence awards, National Federation of Press Women awards, a Tabbie Silver award, and an ASJA Honorable Mention. I was also named a national finalist for Best Body of Work by a Freelance Journalist by the American Society of Business Publication Editors.
