Author Content Marketing Writer
Specialty Subjects : I'm a clinical social worker practicing psychotherapy, where my specialty is health and wellness, with a major interest in mental health and well-being. I focus on demystifying mental health through writing and education. I also want to write blogs that provide practical tools on sleep, healthy habits, self-care, and disease prevention. I also want to provide information on workplace stress and supporting caregivers.
Book Credits : I'm an author of a collaborative book, Voices of Hope: Inspiring Stories of Faith and Resilience, where the nine authors explore seasons of facing challenges. My chapter, ''It's Okay Not to Cry'', focused on my journey of grief with the unexpected death of my brother in June 2024. Writing was a helpful method for me to explore my grief healthily. The book was published through Hope Books. I'm now planning to do a book on internal validation with a focus on mental health and self-discovery.
Enter your professional bio here : I'm a clinical social worker who's a psychotherapist. As a psychotherapist, expressive writing is a great tool for storytelling to help clients redefine their lives. Expressive writing can be similar to online content writing, as it creates a narrative for consumers to connect with their products or services. My main experience in writing is online content for companies promoting their products and services. I also wrote blogs for companies to educate consumers about the benefits of wellness products and medical services. I got into writing in college, taking fiction and nonfiction classes. I was one course shy of a non-fiction writing degree, and got my degree in Sociology. Writing comes naturally to me as an essential form of communication. I recognized my skill for writing 10 years after obtaining my Master's in Social Work, and I wanted to explore writing as a career. When I attended my first ASJA Conference in 2013, I connected with Yahoo Contributor Network and wrote for them until it closed down. I then furthered my skills with Crowded Content/Stellar, Writers Access, and News for Shoppers. I created blogs, product descriptions, how-to articles, and consumer information on professional services. These platforms gave me the confidence to become a professional writer and improve my skills. I have also written blogs for BurnAlong, an online wellness platform, where I create mental health videos. The great project came when I wrote about the importance of self-care for the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) NYC Newsletter, combining my social work and creative writing skills. I would like to do more of these projects for professional and trade companies that want to expand their wellness content for their members. My content focuses on health and wellness, families, arts & culture, and services. My first time as a published author was this year after writing a chapter in a collaborative book about resilience. My chapter was about the unexpected death of my brother in 2024 and the journey of grief. As I said, writing comes naturally to me, and I want to continue sharpening my writing for clients.
Writing Credits : I have written for Stellar Content as a Health and Medical Expert with blogs and articles on lifestyle, health topics, and medical services. I also completed articles for Writers Access on medical services, wellness, arts & culture, and product descriptions. I've written about arts and culture for Yahoo Contributor Network and News For Shoppers.
