Additional Info

Specialty Subjects : I write about anything that interests me, but skew toward health, science and medicine. Recently, I've done a lot of food and travel writing as well.

Enter your professional bio here : I am a freelance journalist and corporate content writer — and also a ski addict, hot yoga apologist, dog obsessed and a member of the gig economy playing Airbnb Superhost (for eight years) to people from all over the world and dog sitter in the Colorado Rockies, which helps fund my need to ski. A Manhattan native, I live carless (that's carless not careless) in DC and write for a wide variety of publications including AARP, ESPN's Andscape, Fast Company, Fodor's, Insider, Leaps, Scientific American and Smithsonian. I am on the ASJA board, chair of Client Connections (''Speed dating for editors and writers'' at the annual conference) and volunteer as an editor for Street Sense Media, a non-profit that produces journalism, film and more as a catalyst to elevate the voices of those experiencing homelessness in DC. You can find my portfolio of published articles at carishane.contently.com. https://streetsensemedia.org/ http://carishane.contently.com/
