She's the founding editor of Emerging Horizons (www.EmergingHorizons.com), and the author of over 20 accessible travel guidebooks, including her popular national park series. Candy's work can also be found in disability-related magazines, mainstream publications and websites. As a staunch advocate for improved accessibility, Candy also addresses accessible travel topics at conferences and conventions. A lifelong resident of the California Sierras, Candy now resides in the NE Washington with her travel photographer husband, after the Creek Fire destroyed their California home in 2020.
