Enter your professional bio here : Anne Cassidy is a writer who blogs daily at A Walker in the Suburbs. A longtime freelance writer, her essays and articles have been published in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Christian Science Monitor, the Washington Independent Review of Books, Motherwell, Parents, Redbook, Family Circle and many other newspapers and magazines. She is the author of Parents Who Think Too Much (Dell) and co-author of Single File (St. Martin's). For 10 years she was the editor of Georgetown Law, the alumni magazine of Georgetown University Law Center, and she also served as writer and editorial director at Winrock International, where she covered everything from human trafficking in Bangladesh to solar power in Indonesia. She received bachelor of arts and master of arts in teaching degrees from Northwestern University and a master of science in journalism degree from Columbia University. Earlier in her career, she led essay-writing workshops at the Writers Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
